WELCOME FENG FAN !!

It's a girl! Feng Fan joins the Brasic family for a year from Beijing:

We made the decision to host another exchange student this spring.

We all had ideas about which student profile looked the like the best fit for our new family member and who would make a good sister for Linden to share Senior Year in High school with her.

One young woman named Feng Fan from Beijing, China caught Lori's eye and after a group discussion we all agreed that Fan looked like a wonderful person.

In March we started corresponding with a Fan's family in Beijing, China. I wrote many times to her father Feng Jun and we spoke on the phone a few times. Lori and Linden wrote many times to Fan in order to establish a relationship with her and get to know her.

Fan Fan finally arrived at Detroit Metro on Tuesday evening, after 24 hours on planes. Lori was doing a seminar on brain development at some statewide meeting in Detroit so Fan's first night in America was spent at the Doubletree which would be a decent first night :)

Fan is all moved into her room now and she seems to be off to a good start as a member of our family.

She loves the dogs, likes being around a lot of family, and is eager to help out if you are working on some project.

This weekend we sank over 100 fence posts with a self-propelled digger and Fan was right in the middle of everything helping out and getting to know everyone. She is a wonderful girl who generally has a smile on her face who is eager to learn and to be a part of the family. I think we got a keeper and after Frank we scarcely could hope that we could be so fortunate twice.

Things are coming along at Brasic Farm and we are all pleased to welcome our newest family member into our home.

Peace and health to all!
